Best Song LYRIC Coldplay's Ever Made?

Featured Replies

A Rush of Blood to the Head. Without a doubt in my mind. :)

"Honey, all the movement you're starting to make

See me crumble and fall on my face

And I know all the mistakes that I've made

See them all disappear without a trace

And they call as the beckon you on

They say start as you mean to go on..."

*happy sigh*

"So meet me by the bridge, meet me by the lane

When am I gonna see that pretty face again"

it's also good...

things i dont understand

"i live, but i love this life"

easy to please

"love, i hope we can be

i hope i can find a way

of letting you see

that i'm

so easy

to please"

also...life is for living

"now i never meant

to do you wrong

thats what i came to here to say

and if i was wrong

then im sorry

i dont let it stand in my way

cuz life is for living we all know

and i dont want to live it alone"

IMO (very personal) the best lyrics are on Shiver and What If? I think everybody naturally likes what is most relevant to their own situation, and these two songs definitely are for me. My husband is cheating on me, and this is wrecking our marriage and my life, so I naturally gravitate towards songs which sum up what I am feeling. If I had to decide on the very best lyric, it would be,

What if I got it wrong

And no poem or song

Could put right what I got wrong

Or make you feel I belong?

What if you should decide

That you don't want me there by your side?

That you don't want me there in your life?

Seems to have been written for me at this time.

Now I love Coldplay. I mean I think every song is a masterpiece at no mistake. But not one songs lyrics stirs up as much emotion for me as Amsterdam.

sorry to hear that I hope you stay strong through the situation. All the best to you.

Moses, Warning sign, fix you, gravity, trouble ...they have all briliant lyrics.

sometimes i don't understand why everybody is saying that Chris must write better lyrics
