Out of those, I'd say A Rush of Blood to the Head. "I'm gonna buy a gun and start a war, if you can tell me something worth fighting for." IMO, the best lyric on the album. Profound.

yeah. arobtth is has the best lyrics. the song. it's too good.and makes you do suicide .

i like listening to it very much, when i'm in a bad mood- it's awsome

lyrics are deep, and fantastic

 

some time ago, when i was "too in love to let it go :)" (of course without positive result for me ;)), i used to love lyrics from shiver- especially parts: "i'll be waiting in line...", "if you want me to change...", and "so i looked in your direction, but you' ve paid me no attention, do you?"

 

lyrics from the scientist, are evergreen- especially "questions of science, science and progress, do not speak as loud as my heart"

 

 

edit: (oh, i forgot about politik, and amazing- especially in live2003 ver- who gove me love over, love over this, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !!! :) )

One of my favourites is also from The Scientist, 'Tell me you love me, come back and haunt me', it so beautiful.

i think Politik has some great lyrics as does The Scientist ... also Swallowed In The Sea ... i know some people don't like the lyrics for SITH but i love them! Yellow has beautiful lyrics ........ i could go on and on ... but i'll stop there :rolleyes2:

Lyrically I really like Warning Sign. It tells such a good story and you just want to sing along. Swallowed In The Sea is also right up there for me.

I think Amsterdam's lyrics are stunning - The depth of feelings and emotions that I feel when I hear that song (especially the last part) is indescribable.

AMAZING!i like this song so much,and i'm just wondering why it's an album song only in Japan...

All their lyrics are amazing but there are some bits of lyrics that specially likes me, for example:

 

Fix you --> "If you never try you'll never know"

Square One --> " You just want somebody listening to what you say, it doesn't matter who you are"

Yellow --> the beginning of the song: "Look at the stars, look how they shine for you"

Moses --> "I'll be waiting oh no matter what you say,

cause I've been waiting for days"

 

I think their best lyrics are for the songs of x&y album. :)

Couldn't agree more. Though there are so many beautiful and poethic lyrics so you could come up with tons of them.

I think people really need to realize that as a band,

coldplay plays some really... cold... songs.

 

cause they sure as hell give me shivers.

also I think the lyrics in both versions of How You See The World are unbelieveable honestly.Also powerful ballads like Warning Sign.Green Eyes and A Message can't be overlooked either.
