I think they are another great band. if anyof you have evr heard EVERLONG you know why. the song is great and is on my top song list.

THE FOOS RAWK

this is one solid band, they make great straight forward rock n roll tunes. I actually think they will be even more appreciated after they're gone, there's only so many Dave Grohl's in a musical generation, he's one of the greats. He'll be missed when he does retire. Everlong is a beautiful song. I just saw them at the V festival here and they were outstanding. Taylor could drill a hole to china w/ his drumming! They did this amazing riffing on the bridge in Stacked Actors...i literally haven't witnessed such guitar work in a long time and ive seen a lot of bands.

my fave foos recent songs: everlong, low, times like these..but i love them all.

I wish i was going! Man what id do to see them live. your so luck. and your probally right Doc they will be more apreciated after they are gone. be ashame to see them go. i love Dave Ghrohl when he was the drummer for Nirviana( spelling mistake somwhere) and when i heard he was going to be the drummer for The Queens of the stone age i whent right out and bought the album the first day.

YES! See he knows all the right people too! He's down with QATSA & Jack Black and countless others, he's loved across the musical spectrum, he's so in demand it's crazy, i don't know how he finds the time! :) Plus I love him because he makes me laugh, he's a comedian at heart really, his vids are genius! esp Low!!

and he's always got good live banter with his crowds...he said at V fest: "So i hear this is the posh festival! (crowd playfully boos) Well let me tell ya, when we played here last time and we played this next song, it wasn't so posh down here in front i can tell ya that!" :lol:

yeah and not only is he a comedian hes a genius. in every song that hes written lyrics are so amazing. im at a loss of words to explain how great of an artist he is.

i think he is a genius, underapreciated even...future gens will hail to the Grohl no doubt ;) His lyrics are deceptively simple, they appear straight forward but there's more bubbling beneath their surface. I can't give him enough credit really, few rock musicians going right now can say they've accomplished so much in the industry and are so loved by their fans. He's managed to be fairly mainstream yet do what he wants to do, most musicians would kill to be where he's at.

i agree and to be a part of such good rock bands that will go down i history such as Nirvana and the foos. and he has written lkyrics that not only influence rock bands but a wide range of music. his vocals are awsome as well and not only can he really jam on a gutiar hes a really good drummer too. Dave is one of my favorite singers of all time.

what else can we say? He's a class act all around, he's got more talent than most bands combined. :cool:

so what about taylor as a drummer or would you all prefer the Grohl man!!! :lol:

HA!! theres a funny bit on the gonz about that very question..the show was live and taylor said it was like comparing to artists and zane went aww c'mon youre avoiding the question and Taylor said look it's fucking...then Zane interupted him and hands him a red card for swearing, it was his 2nd, he'd recieved a yellow earlier, so he was off! he didnt come back either!! LOL
