December 14, 200520 yr Author Hahaha! I almost didn't get that. :D I took a philosophy class a few semesters ago and HATED it...I'm pretty sure it was the prof, though. He was dull as dirt...no, dirt doesn't deserve to be insulted like that. No, I'm not graduating in May because I took a two semesters off. Probably May 07.
December 14, 200520 yr Wow...he sounds pretty bad. The material can be pretty dull too, though. I get sick of it sometimes after four years. Psych sounds cool though. I wish I'd gotten to take Psych 101, but I never did.
December 14, 200520 yr Author Psych is always pretty interesting, so that is one good thing about it. It always depends on the professor, though. Yeah, the prof I had for philosophy talked....so....slow....and he always drew these diagrams on the board that made absolutely no sense!! If I ever hear anything about the cosmological argument or whatever again, it will be too soon! :D
December 14, 200520 yr Author Hopefully...I live for the day when someone can actually call me that. How about you? What are you going to do with that philosophy degree?
December 14, 200520 yr For the first couple years after I graduate, I want to try and travel to third-world countries and write about it. After that, who knows. I know that's kind of vague. It's just that I want to travel, but I want to go places people usually don't go to. If I can make money writing for a magazine or something as I go, that would be cool, but I want to go either way. Right after college is the time to do that, you know?
December 14, 200520 yr Author Yeah. That sounds like a good idea. I've always wanted to write for a magazine... Are you going to grad. school?
December 14, 200520 yr No I don't want to go to grad school. I guess you kinda have to if you want to advance in psychology, yeah?
December 14, 200520 yr Author Pretty much. You've got to have at least a Master's to practice...and make decent money. ;) I wish I didn't have to go to grad school...it's going to put me in debt for sure.
December 14, 200520 yr Author are you getting :sleeping2: yet april? Yeah, I'm sleeping right now!!    ...I wish. Oh well! I'm having fun chatting with you guys! :smug:
December 14, 200520 yr Yeah that's the thing for me...I'm gonna be in debt because I go to a private school. I guess I might go to grad school a long time from now, but not anytime soon.
December 14, 200520 yr You two have exams tomorrow, that sucks! I just graduated, but am working nights (just got off) I have teachers college in Jan cant wait for those crappy exams (3 hours each on american history, politics and economics)
December 14, 200520 yr Author Yeah, I really don't feel like college is the right place for me, but I really have no other choice. I live in a dead-end town, so it's not like I have any other opportunities.

Beginning or end of Jan?
December 14, 200520 yr Yeah' date=' I really don't feel like college is the right place for me, but I really have no other choice. I live in a dead-end town, so it's not like I have any other opportunities.[/quote'] Hmm. Yeah I'm definitely not an academic. Saying "philosophy" intimidates some people, but I can seriously see myself just ending up working as a firefighter or something cool like that. I certainly don't want to just sit and think for the rest of my life.
December 14, 200520 yr I am a Canadian, but will be going to a US school. Unfortunatly the US has 3 crazy exams to qualify teachers, so I am stuck taking those throughout my term. Hated learning Canadian History, now I have to learn American- yikes!
December 14, 200520 yr Yeah, I really don't feel like college is the right place for me, but I really have no other choice. I live in a dead-end town, so it's not like I have any other opportunities. that's kinda sad april...... :(
December 14, 200520 yr Author Geez...that is awful!!! American history is easy, though, just remember that we're always the good guys.  Paratrooper, yeah, I have seriously thought that I might just become a postal worker if this doesn't pan out. :D
December 14, 200520 yr You should TRY to sleep if you can guys. As Phychology majors you should know how important sleep is for memory and mind tasks.
December 14, 200520 yr Seriously, there are a lot of good things about govt. jobs. They're almost always secure. Firefighters and postal workers are needed everywhere, you know?
December 14, 200520 yr Author Don't remind me!! I even planned it out tonight so I would fall asleep approximately and hour after studying so I would absorb and organize it in my sleep. That didn't work out too well...
December 14, 200520 yr You should TRY to sleep if you can guys. As Phychology majors you should know how important sleep is for memory and mind tasks. But how can you really know that? JK, sorry.
