January 13, 200620 yr I know Chris said something about X&Y possibly being Coldplay's last album, but has anybody heard anything new on the 4th album? I know its somewhere on the coldplaying site but I can't seem to find it.
January 13, 200620 yr aaaaaah.... i don't want that they make some dramatic change....i like them just the way there are
January 13, 200620 yr aaaaaah.... i don't want that they make some dramatic change....i like them just the way there are me too! :(
January 13, 200620 yr Author same here. that's kinda making me nervous. Already X&Y is more electronic than the rest of their stuff. I love it but anything more than that may be pushing it. I could have sworn I read somewhere that X&Y might have been their last album.
January 13, 200620 yr Author i know serioiusly. it sounds cheesy but coldplay's gotten me through some hard times.
January 13, 200620 yr yeah, me too (though it sounds odd) they always build me up when i'm down and ... even when i thought i couldn't make it through the day ... they kept making me believe in something good.
January 13, 200620 yr Author totally. truly though, i seriously hope they follow through with their fourth album, and whichever direction they decide to go in with it, power to them. It's coldplay, its their music and they do what they want with it. I love them so much that that's enough for me. Coldplay will always be my favorite band.
January 14, 200620 yr I've heard also that Coldplay no more will play at the piano?? maybe it's because people say that coldplay is boring... but coldplay without piano...isn't Coldplay anymore, so i hope this is not true!!
January 14, 200620 yr i think they do need to renew themselves, it's boring with bands who sound the same all the time. and yeah, i think guy said something aboút more keyboards and stuff...

January 14, 200620 yr coldplay without piano is like, the sky without the sun! (haha corny) ive heard that they are going in the direction of like, the song sleeping sun (you know, upbeat and folkish like). but, its just a rumor.
January 14, 200620 yr i think they totali folow U2, because they also made a change after 3 albums....
January 14, 200620 yr Author If they get rid of their piano...that'll be sad. I mean think about it...one of Coldplay's biggest songs' main instrument was piano. I don't think they need to have it in any song, but i think they need to keep it around for some of their material. It's just one of the things that make them. I'll still love them either way of course but, you know. I love their piano I think a little more since I play piano, so that might be part of it.
January 15, 200620 yr Ahhhhh i don't think that Chris will give up playing piano just like that!!!He's emocionaly connected with it!
January 16, 200620 yr Yeah really. I mean, Coldplay = piano. Every single band that used a piano after 2002 has been compared to Coldplay in one way or another. I guess, if it's true and he's sticking to his word, they are definitely going for a change in sound.
January 16, 200620 yr yeah, most of my favorite songs/bands play with piano. i guess thats why im so attached to coldplay. if they gave up piano.. that would break my heart..
January 16, 200620 yr I remember hearing that Chris Martin wanted to do a country album. Which I thought was a pretty cool direction since they've done songs like A Rush Of Blood To The Head & Til Kingdom Come. I'd like to hear more of that.
January 16, 200620 yr theres not going to be a country album, thats what i heard, think guy said that... and quote the quiet one, is a rush of blood to the head in the country direction?
January 16, 200620 yr theres not going to be a country album, thats what i heard, think guy said that... and quote the quiet one, is a rush of blood to the head in the country direction? No not of course not. But the song "A Rush OF Blood to The Head" is in my opinion has a Haunting/Country vibe to it.
January 16, 200620 yr Guy said on Steve Lamacq's show that X&Y is like the third and the last album of a trilogy.(Parachutes, A rush of blood To The Head and X&Y) They wanna move to a new direction. They want to do something different.
January 16, 200620 yr Here's a short interview Guy gave on Steve Lamacq's show on 16-12-2005 on BBC 6. Among the topics: the Earl's Court shows, Guy's Christmas plans, and what the band hopes Album 4 might sound like.... http://rapidshare.de/files/9295088/Guy_on_Steve_Lamacq_16-12-2005.mp3.html
