well,i think neither of these albums is SUPER (no how to... nor x&y ),but i really have doubts that U2's last one is better than X&Y...in my opinion they're on the same level...or very close to each other,but i would choose x&y

i like u2's music.. but how to dismantle isnt that good album as x&y.. no doubt.. how to dismantle had a lot of boring songs and "rip off" of their earlier songs... my opinion ;)

To be honest, HTDAAB could be renamed "All You Can't Leave Behind - The Lost Songs Session" and it would suit perfectly. That album is not that Grammy worthy.

X&Y is not Coldplay's best album, and HTDAAB is not U2's best album, that's for sure. But X&Y is better than U2's album.

I can't really explain why, because I really suck when it comes to analyse albums and music but that's how I feel about them.

Of course I like X&Y... cuz it's Coldplay... but I don't know much about HTDAAB. I've only listened to a few songs, and most of those I didn't like. :/

people say x&y is crap,but it's not true (maybe the weakest of the trilogy,but still better than some other "rock" and rock albums from 2005),this album showed us another side of Coldplay...harder,darker in some songs...

I don't know. HTDAAB has great songs like Vertigo, Sometimes You Can't Make it on Your Own, City of Blinding Lights, All Because of You, and Yahweh.

 

But X&Y has Square One, Fix You, Talk, Speed of Sound, A Message... yeah actually X&Y is stacked.

 

X&Y wins here.

The more famous and popular they've become the more some people and critics hate them. That's how it goes, I think it's normal in a way. But I'm really fed up with that, I can't help.

People only dislike them now cos theyre more popular...because theyve made another stonking album!!!! people are jealous. I hate these kinda ppl...theyre usually the type of people whove never heard the whole of an album by CP and just judge them on the celebrity status of Chris and Gwyneth. :/

Like i read on some grammy page a while back, the grammy jury sure seem to be hating british band period. Not just Coldplay.

And yeah, X&Y is an amazing album and sure it doesn't sound like Parachutes and that's a good thing cause I sure as hell don't want them to turn into Oasis#2!
