I thought X and Y was a phenomenal album, but U2 is U2. I think they really deserved it. Their album was really meaningful. Im not saying that X and Y wasnt, but idk, its just something I can't put my finger on. Let me know. the bottom line is U2 is U2

Let's see. I've said this before. U2 is like fine wine. They get better with age. It's too bad for them that I don't drink alcohol. But you're right, they are venerable and they've been in the game a long while. But it'll just take time for people to warm up to Coldplay. I'm mean Jesus M. Christ, U2's been around since before I was born. They deserve something for that. BUT! ALAS, Coldplay will have their time. I'm guessing, the next Grammy show you see, Coldplay's gonna get something, or 2. Bottomline is that U2's got the age factor and that's about it. I didn't see the Grammy's. I was at work. U2 is an awesome band so they deserve their Grammy's but I wanted Coldplay to get at least one. :(

I might just be one of those people who thinks U2 is not that impressive. I like some of their songs but in general, I could never listen to a U2 song again in my entire life. I thought X & Y was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than the U2 album. Just my opinion!!
