well....I wrote this in a forum from myspace in the "Coldplay versus Radiohead thread"....they all talked in a bad way about Coldplay and said they suck etc.....but with no convincing arguments.....

I don't know anything about this......but when I saw this I was upset.....yes....

yez, people dislike coldplay because so many teenage girls love them. and the lyrics are too simple or lovely for them. Seriously.. and that's why sometimes I don't want to listen to coldplay but that doesn't mean they're a bad group or that I don't like them. It means that sometimes I'm not in the mood for them. And apparently some people are never in the mood for them, which is understandable. However I don't think they have a right to bash them like they do, but we also bash rap and some people like rap for what it is. I should accept that, I don't think I should have to accept their lyrics, but I don't think people listen to rap because of the lyrics (usually) and maybe I should accept that.

and julia I think that is one good example of why I don't post on a radiohead fan site because the radiohead fans are generally bitter people as opposed to coldplay fans who are shiny and bubbly. :lol: and that is why we like the music we like.

Well.......the fact that they don't like Coldplay doesn't make me upset....but if they say they suck they have to show convincing arguments....I do the same if i say rap sucks!

 

But if somebody calls me as a german,a Nazi.........that makes me upset......so Nazi is a normal bad word in other countries?

well when you look at the musical and technical merit of both bands.. musically and creatively... Radiohead is a far superior band. I am a fan of both.. and when you really look at it.. there is no comparing the two because they make completely different music.

Sometimes I'll say generalized statements like "can't spell crap without rap" etc... :uhoh: but... for all the 300057198 immediate replys you get eventually some people will have waited to say something intelligent. It's the dumb people that talk the most so we can't assume that they are all dumb unless we have heard them all.

I won't deny that "generally" radiohead fans are intelligent. Actually that's how I always felt about dave matthews band fans... but coldplay fans (at least at coldplaying) are more welcoming :P

and about the coldplay / radiohead thing... you have to admit... if you heard radiohead make a song like coldplay people would laugh... but if coldplay made songs like radiohead people would faint... If radiohead made a song like "spies" I would be a little shocked. but it's one of my favorite coldplay songs.
