Help Needed decoding my dvd player into multi-region

Featured Replies

Right it's a Technika DVD-104, anyone have any knowledge on how to make this dvd player multi-regional?

I believe there are codes that are available to make dvd players region free....... some nodule on the back of your dvd player. Its a bitch to do though.... codes are available online..

good luck

I found out the codes, and it was easy enough to do. Just enter setup when the drive is open, and press a series of buttons on the remote to enter the region setup screen, which i changed to region 0 (should play every dvd now without problems). But before I go off and buy a £50 boxset which is only available in america, i will test it out with a cheap region 1 disc :)

awww man! That was simple for you to say!! lol I had a real hard time trying to do mine.. lol I gave up and settled for my laptop.

Well most of the dvd players are now built in china or another country like that, where they go all around the world, due to production costs nowadays it's cheaper to set each player using the firmware to whatever region they are going to than to build something inside.

Now you can pick up a dvd player from tesco for £17.97, which is cheaper than some dvds :)
