Songs that make you cry...

Featured Replies

I have never cried as a direct result from listening to a song, especially any coldplay ones. "They're supposed to be uplifting!"

during live 2003 dvd i cry quite a lot :P and especially Yellow and the scientist make me cry. Life is for living on the dvd makes me cry, but those tears are tears of joy :)

Yellow, at my first Coldplay concert in Raleigh, NC. The "You know I love you so," got me on that one. But that's the only Coldplay song that has ACTUALLY made me cry.

Proof. Definitely has come close.

Life is for Living on Live 2003 has also come close to making me cry. So have Fix You, The Scientist, Clocks, Politik, Amsterdam, A Rush of Blood, Everything's Not Lost, Swallowed in the Sea (Live), and A Message.

City of Angels by Red Hot Chili Peppers is the only other song that has made me cry.

Wow, cry alot? Hahah. No I'm just kidding. I have basically the same list as you. I cried during The Scientist at my second Coldplay concert.

And the song you're thinking of is "Under the Bridge" by RHCP... not City of Angels... I believe, anyway..

ps

I posted a while back on this one, but if you want non-pop-music that'll absolutely knock you soul over, try Mozart's Requiem...and no, that's NOT because Chris wants to study it one day. It's one of the most beautiful peices of music EVER!!!

The opening strains give me shivers...the rest makes me cry, shiver...and want to write music!
