Coldplay coming to Hong Kong!!

There is no chance of the band playing China this time. They might be adding Bangkok, but that is a long shot. I think only Singapore and Hong Kong, as well as Japan will be the only Asia dates for this tour. Try and come to HK, it will be a concert not to be missed!!!:wink2:

Ā

I'm trying...

But it's hard for me, the tickest are selling too fast and I don't know whether the day is on exam day.

Anyway, thx

Why there's no standing ticket! Will it still be entertaining? Will the crowd be too shy to stand up? =x

(imagining how will it be like for the band to perform in front of a bunch of dinner tables -- that expensive VIP package blockage)

Good. I'm in Block A as well, in the middle section, but my brother in law got my tix, so don't know what row. But yeah, tix have been selling so fast. Must be v close to selling out now. At least the real fans must have all got their tix by now. Enjoy the show!!

I'm in G row, quite the middle as well

I'm going to be so excited right now~

I just hope that the atomosphere will be great on that day..

that's very important

I can't imagine they are right singing in the concert on that day

I can't wait singing the song scienistist together....one of my favourite

ha~ by the way

do you know their setlist? i got them in some of the forum

I just doubt it~

There's a set list here too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twisted_Logic_Tour

Ā

Wow, you got there at 8! O_o but still there's 4 people ahead of you. I got in at around 10:03 and there was no one ... maybe not many people knew this branch (Sheung Shui) has moved to a new location. Still, I didn't take this chance to get a good $780 ticket. Come to think of it, so regretful, but I don't deserve one for many reasons. I only got a front $380 right next to the central $580 seats. Luckily it's beside the stairs so that maybe I can get up for the jumpy songs (Talk, GPASUYF, WS) I love without disturbing people at the back :)

Ā

Doesn't sound like I do for the ticket I got but I really yearned for this for so long, having been checking the tour information on their web site since months ago. I became a bit disappointed after they announced the Japan dates as I worried they won't tour the rest of the East Asia this time, but I was soon proved wrong and got all hot-blooded again weeks later after I read the ezine17!

Ā

I really hope Hong Kong will give Coldplay a good image and make them wanna come back in the future! :)

woo~ thanks a lot for your setlist

i'm just enjoying the demo version of talk

and speed of sound from the special gig of MTV

they are so brillant in my sense, epsecially the gig which I spend sereval hours downloading, ha, just thanks so much for coldplaying

Ā

it's really a bit pitty you got the $380 ticket,

anyway entering the concert is such a great pleasure

Ā

and I was so same as you, keeping a very close eye on their tour

and felt so energtic that when they come..hoho..

Ā

but at the same time it suprises me that are there really no standing "places"

I've never seen a coldplay concert with people sitting...

Ā

ha~ I just pray that the atmosphere will be great

and I look forward so much to singing all together like the song talk

which in the last part the song build and build with johnny playing his guitar and all of us singing along

Ā

coldplay is my love

I only bought the $580 tix on internet, but it is in block C, only few rows behind block B!

The webiste was very very busy yesterday morning! ;) I have tried almost an hour but it was "connection timeout"!

Ā

We rely on you, the $780 guys, to stand up first in the concert! Don't be shy! :laugh3:

Those of you that have not bought tickets, they are on the verge of selling out. There are only a few pairs left in the $780 (side stage view) and $580 categories. And only singles left for $380. If you don't want to miss out on what is going to be THE CONCERT OF 2006, get those tickets now!!!! www.hkticketing.com

Hey is anyone going for the VIP tickets (incl. dinner)? Contrary to popular belief' date=' this does not mean that you get to meet the band - but does give you some good seats in $780 section which are otherwise sold out (except for side view). The meal however is questionable. Check it out: http://www.hkticketing.com/ticketek/images/Coldplay%20VIP%20Package.pdf

Ā

It says "Best seats in Asiaworld-arena", but I think that block A seats are better than the block 2 seats in the package. A $870 meal sound really expensive to me, they should have included a meeting with the band for that money.

Ā

Yeah $870 is about 85 euros which is nuts! I think only those that have no tickets would go for this option / or corporate executives. side view seats are still available only 1 section to the side.

I still can't decide where to go this summer, Japan or HK. Since I have already bought tickets for a Jazz-festival in Holland, which is July 14th. If I want to see Coldplay on the 13th in HK, I'll have to leave immediately after the concert to catch the flight. Or I can plan my holiday to Japan, where they'll be playing the 18th and 19th.

Ā

I mailed Smash (the organisation that hosts the Coldplay concerts in Japan) and they said there was a possibility for overseas people to get Coldplay Japan tickets without using the japanese websites.

It depends whether you have been to Hk or Japan before.

Ā

Pros for HK:

Ā

Venue is v close to the airport so you will be able to catch your flight

Can get better seats here than Japan (most likely)

Should be a unique show since the band have never played here before

Ā

Ā

Pros for Japan:

Ā

2 shows - always better than 1

Last shows of the tour so should be special

Japanese food is the best in the world!

Ā

Flip a coin!

Hi everyone I am new here!

I got the $580 ticket recently,

but it is at block D...

I wonder if anyone got the block D ticket too.

I'd like to know if there will be any chance to get the band's signature also.:D

Ā

By the way,

I will not be able to see the band if everyone stand up in the concert:cry:,

I am only 145cm tall....

hi

Ā

My recommendation for the Asia World expo that if you are going to stand then you should be in the front part as it is quite tough to see the show from the back standing area.

Ā

The sound is really loud and amazing, was there for Oasis and you could really feel the music.

For those of you that still don't have tix, some amazing BLOCK 2 tickets have opened up. $780, but can get Row A at the moment... I think these are the ones that were blocked for the VIP section, but there were no takers so they have now released the seats. So you now have a chance to get primo Coldplay seats for the same price as guys a few sections behind you paid.
