Chris Martin's drab media image has been dismissed by Embrace frontman Danny McNamara, who insists the singer is the most charismatic man he's met.

 

The pair became firm friends after Coldplay supported Embrace at a UK gig in 2000, and McNamara [pictured] is furious journalists keep portraying his pal as a geek. He says, "The perception of Chris is so far from the truth, it's hilarious. People think he's dull but he's the most exciting man I've ever met. He's always switched on. You feel like you should pay a ten quid (pound) entrance fee just to see him.

 

"If I was like that, I'd need 15 hours sleep a night. He's just not boring."

I agree that Chris is probably pretty far from boring. He just dosen't get trashed every night and cheat on his wife and throw things out of windows or has a drug habit or cuts himself or something. He's completly normal but completly not boring.

 

I have to disagree with McNamara that Chris isn't a geek. He is. He totally is. There's nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't like him as much if he was actually cool.
