I've realised I suck at the soccer lingo.....really. I have no idea if a player is good, wether he should be in a position or another, and the rules...well....basics. I wish I had that ability, it's awesome. I admire anyone who can analyze a match.

I was never too keen on football, but world cup is world cup!

Just observe if people start shouting, then it means somebody scored!;)

don't worry. many people have no idea about rules, basics, squads etc...

but it's the WC and it's cool, so everyone's watching it ;)

Yep like you I have absolutely no idea!

Haha nothing to worry about

I don't know all rules and I can't always say if it's offside or not, but it doesn't mean anything. Besides, most of girls don't even watch football so the fact that you do is huge

LMAO :D

I don't really know much about teams or players or anything. Basically, I started out with the knowlege that if the ball went in the net, it was a goal. It's still fun to watch even with that level of cluelessness.

Anything beyond that I learned from watching them play and listening to what the commentators said, and especially from playing soccer on my brother's Nintendo. Any sport takes time to pick up.

^ true during the commonwealth games i enjoyed watching Bowels! had no idea what the aim was but something about getting the ball as close to another one and maybe knocking an oponents out of the way.

ha ha...

i finally learned that offside rule :D during the wc :)

:dozey:

it's when there's one player who shoots the ball to a player who stands behind the last defender and the keeper ....

and if he's standing between them while that other player shoots ... then it's offside

i know i explained it badly but it's hard in english ...

Haha nothing to worry about

and most of the one's who do watch it, watch it for the good looking male specimens :sneaky:

but i'm not one of those. i promise :uhoh2:

^^ yeah, sure :laugh3:

22 guys with hot boddies (some with beautiful faces too) running after a ball... that's the only thing we need to know :P
