mhh i read that somewhere

and now i wanna ask you guys for you opinion

Can blind people see their dreams?

how do blind people actually dream?!

i mean, what if they're blind from the day they were born?

Why do toasters always have a setting on them which burns your toast to a

horrible crisp no one would eat?

that's ridiculous, isn't it?

If you're putting frozen bread in the toaster, that top setting can be useful!;)

Wow...!

That is true!

omg... I can't believe I never thought of that...

i dunno about the blind people dreaming. If they do, then its just images their minds create. Or nothing but something.

the toaster deal...some people like extra crispy bread. How is that not normal or useful setting?

i'm not blind...so i'm not much help there. sorry. but as for the setting which burns your toast to a crisp. well some people like the taste of burning stuff....don't ask me why but my sister eats her toast seriously burnt....

About blind people, I think they have issues with their eyes, but they must be able to create images in their heads.

1- 'course they can!!! dreaming is a part of human beings...So why couldn't they see, well at least imagine their dreams???

They are blind, so their other senses are more efficient...Well they can say that you're smiling just hearing the sound of your voice!!

I guess that they can imagine their environnement...It might be so hard...

they are as they've a 6th sense...

2- tough question!!!!:D

dunno!!!!

Well I actually use that top setting to make charcoal out of bread, cheaper than buying coal....

I dated a blind guy a few years back, and I can confirm that they do 'see' in their dreams. They percieve a combination of mental landscape and what they think their environment looks like. So, there you go...

My grandmother is blind since she was 11 (she's 75 now) and she says she still kind of... gets images in her head of something. For example, when we take her shopping if we say "you like this lilac jumper?" she'll feel it and get an image in her head of it.

So I'd assume they can dream aswell. Actually.. I'll have to ask her... :\

I had the same doubt and one day I met a blind guy on the street and we went to watch a movie (yes, silly me) and afterwards I asked him If he could/had dreams and he said he did. When we were at the cinema he said he couldn't tell were light was but in his dreams he does... he doesn't know what colours look like but he could tell me red is a hot colour and blue a cold one (I guess he was taught that) and that his dreams were mainly feelings (like sounds and tastes)....

I'm not sure If I'm being clear enough but that's the answer he gave me.

Just as an aside, blind people DO go to movies. Often they'll have a guide or someone with them who describes what's happening on the screen. And you'd be amazed how much you can follow just from the dialogue if you have to. I'm not blind, but I am visually impaired and you can develope an amazing variety of coping skills...Hell, it's a miracle you guys make sense of my typing...lol!

ahhhhhhhh I'm sorry! it seems like I slighty offended you

I'm sure blind people do go to watch movies

it's just this was a chinese movie (we are spanish speakers)

and I'm proabably the worst person for describing a movie

that's If I get it at all

Not at all! You didn't offend me in the slightest. Even though I have my sight, I still have friends who think I don't like movies. I just thought it was an interesting aside to the question about dreams. I speak neither Chinese or Spanish so I'd be SKREWED,.lOL!

It must be terrible to be blind (obviously) if it wasn't from birth. Especially the whole dreaming aspect because I'd imagine that the images you dream about would be from a time when you could see and it would probably get their hopes up and make them think that they can see again :(

That must be a nightmare!!!
