Do you think it is okay to have sex without an emotional attachment..should sex just be like having a drink with someone...should it be something cared between people who love each other..should friends with benefits be an okay thing?

OR

Do you think that acheiving ultimate personal happiness is possible?..not oh I'm happy cause I'm won $1,000,000.??

Do discuss both or whichever..have fun..my bed is calling me

why is nobody answering this? these are interesting topics.

i dont think so  .....thank you! :)

ok.. well why don't you?.. i agree it's quite interesting, so...:

1. i think it's all right, simple

2. hmmm.. that's the question that bothers me most.. cause i feel i need to know THIS is possible.. to survive every other day...

so i think/hope/believe that's possible.. not as a constant state but at certain moments that can last longer or shorter..

to enlarge the topic (i actually wanted to make a thread bout this.. but it fits very well here..): how could YOU personally achieve this state of ultimate happiness?

i'm very curious.. :D

i'll write my answer on that later..

Well an ideal situation for me would be to not have sex with a girl, but to make love with her. I feel a strong emotional bond should be present.

But i'm not going to tell people what they should be doing ... each to their own i say!

You have to lay down ground rules beforehand of course. Of course Im stupid enough to never ask or even remotely stop because Im getting sex duh but you SHOULD make intentions clear for afterwards. You can turn the bedsheets over but some emotional stains wont disappear (That was a tad inappropriate, wasnt it? :P)

Yes, for very short spurts.

"Once you realise you cant be happy all the time, youre one step closer to being happier all the time"- Me. Heh.

the first question:

assuming the people involved are mature enough to claim responsibility for their actions, i guess no-strings attatched sex can be seen as good harmless fun. this however goes down to indivual attitudes. for instance, i couldn't ever have sex with someone i don't love... i see sex as a connection on the deepest emotional level that i could only share with someone i was incredibly comfortable with. however, that's just me... i don't think there's anything wrong about casual sex, it's just not for me... and everyone can make their own choices on that, but obviously it's important people know what they're getting themselves into... true, it may only seem like a good idea at the time but people can take responsibility for themselves on that one...

the second question:

it depends what you mean by 'ultimate happiness'... if you mean an absolute happiness- in which one could not possibly be happier, this is virtually impossible- this could only come if one would not, given the chance, change even the tiniest thing in his/her life. if you mean what we would casually describe as 'true happiness', i guess i could refer to maslow's hierarchy of needs and call it 'self-actualisation'- the obtainment of human wants and needs from the most primitive (food, shelter, comfort), happiness in relationships and human contact, satisfaction of esteem needs, independence, knowledge and appreciation of beauty... reaching a feeling of extreme self-fulfillment... obviously as with all theories like this there are some of dispute it's relevance, but if this is the closest we can come to a definition of 'ultimate happiness' we can draw on it... and i would make a conclusion that this can be, and often is achieved :)

god dont people where like to discuss things?

anywho....

question one:

I guess people can have sex w/out strings attached if both people agree to it, but I think it takes of how "special" it should be. Personally I could never see myself doing that. I think that tohave sex with someone you should truely care about that person..because quite honestly I dont know how someone can not feel attached to a person after a sleeping with them.. .

question two:

I think I'll never be truly happy.

I think to be truly happy a person would have had to achieve most of the things they wanted out of life, basics, and so on..be happy with themselves physically, emtionally and of course, spiritually. I think to achieve spiritual happiness is achieve true happiness (well thats if you're spiritual).
