when in the worst situation one can fathom being optimistic is a handsome quality in people. Something about faith and hope makes a person's personality attractive... So I'm going to be optimistic about today, July 7, 2007

Well, being gloomy is kindof out of fashion. Happy is the new sad.

 

Haha and that doesnt relate to anything you said, but its true. Apart from Emo kids though. Even gothic kids have the happy bug these days.

 

Optimism is definately attractive though, it makes people look so strong and solid. I mean, life is hard, for everyone, and its difficult to always be up, so when someone is tough enough to do that, its very impressive.

 

I am quite an optimistic person, at times.

I agree with you. complaining is ugly no matter who someone is and at the same time being optimistic is attractive and fun. sometimes when people laugh all the time it's annoying but I think it depends on how true someone is being to their feelings. if someone wants to complain about something but they're putting on an outer face to make them look pretty to their friends it can be annoying. If someone is doing it because they're being selfless then it's a great quality.

Smiley Faces and Crazy are two fantastic pop songs, and there's a few more good ones I've heard on the album (Download "Just a Thought"- brilliant) but as a whole album, I dont think its a work or art like it could be. There seems to be a few fillers on there, a few too many 2min long songs. I havent listened to it as a whole, just downloaded bits and pieces here and there, and I think I'd be disappointed if I got the actual CD.

 

But I love the fact that they are around and these 2 singles are something in popular music which is a genuinely good source of songwriting.

my friends keep calling me a pessimist... I like to think of myself as maybe a realist or something but iono...

mhhh ... i guess i am a pessimist althouch i'm trying hard to become an optimist.

germans are pessimists in general.

we ONLY see the bad things about something and we're always complaining.

i don't like that and i don't wanna be like that.

but being optimstic is so much harder than just being pessimistic.

the glass is half empty in my opinion.

but i realised that i'm more pessimistic when it's about me and more optimistic when it's about other people....

you should be optimistic always what do you have to be unhappy about? colplay is still making music that seems good enough for me :laugh3: smiles for all those days if your not happy

^^what do you have to be unhappy about? well plenty of things like, well,... pollution, the green house effect, how people act, what people do, the weather, things being unfair, not being able to get what you want, bad days, things gone wrong, losing things, missing things, the way things are run...... just to name a couple

 

but i try to be optimistic and look on the brightside. its true though, it's always easier to be pessimistic.
