Total Propaganda: Hizbullah wants soldiers moved to Iran

JERUSALEM POST | July 13, 2006

By Yaakov Katz

COMMENT:

In the midst of the chaos churning in the Middle East Israel is releasing another wave of blatant propaganda with this Jerusalem Post article. Right on the heels of the recent false reports that Iran's government was going to impliment a nasi-esque plan to pin yellow Stars of David on the Jews in that country comes this story that the Hizbullah fighters are planning to transport two Israeli captured soldiers to Iran.

This is such blantant provocation that would never ever be allowed to occur. Iran would never allow Hizbullah to harbor their POW's there no matter how much the Iranian government backs the group. This is transparent propaganda to help build momentum for an Israeli invasion of Iran.

Israel has information that Hizbullah guerrillas who captured two Israeli soldiers are trying to transfer them to Iran, Foreign Ministry spokesman Mark Regev said.

Regev did not disclose the source of his information.

The IDF released the names of the two soldiers on Thursday. According to the IDF Spokesperson, the two reserve are Ehud Goldwasser, 31, from Nahariya, and Eldad Regev, 26, from Kiryat Motzkin.

Hizbullah guerrillas, who are backed by Iran, seized the soldiers Wednesday in a cross-border raid.

OC Northern Command Lt.-Gen. Udi Adam said Thursday evening that the army has hit hundreds of targets in Lebanon since Wednesday night.

Adam added that Israel has not ruled out sending ground forces into Lebanon. He told reporters that even Northern Command had come under Katyusha fire during the day.

"I imagine over time that we will be able to rid ourselves of this threat entirely," he said.

Earlier in the day, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz confirmed Thursday that the soldiers who had been kidnapped by Hizbullah a day before were still alive.

"We know the soldiers are alive and we hold the Lebanese government completey responsible," he said during a tour of the North.

Israel was not at war with Lebanon but at a "high volume crisis," he added.

He said that a new reality has been created on the northern border that started yesterday with the deaths of eight soldiers.

The focus of the operation in Lebanon would be to restore Israel's deterrent capability against those in Lebanon, referring to Hizbullah, who thought the IDF was irrelevant, he explained.

"The goal is to create a new reality in the north," Halutz told reporters, "Such attacks will not be tolerated."

Israel invade Iran? lol that would never happen. the majority of israelis are anti war as i am ( i have israeli friends) but i highly doubt the government would sacrifice 19 year old soldiers to invade a country unless they had US help. however i would not discount it that israel will invade Iran when the US do which is what it is looking like to happen.

Well iran kinda is fueling the fires here, trying to stir up a war. i say israel should bomb the shit out of them, and sometime soon they probably will. specialy if they get closer to getting nukes. someones needs to take care of the world's biggest supporter of terrorism, that is trying to get nukes.

lol you really have a bomb loving side to you don't you?

I realize nations must do what they have to survive. and since modern day we use bombs instead of speers, i guess i am. but Iran is the biggest state sponser of terrorism, and they are fueling the fires here trying to hurt israel. not to mention they are trying to get nukes. but i have a feeling israel will take care of that.

Hmmm.
