im waiting till Nov 7.. . the so called "unauthorized" dvd has been pushed back to the 7th.. so ill check again then.. what exactly is going on with this dvd i dont know, i was in HMV the other day and they had nothing mentioning a coldplay release..

It really really doesn't make sense. Opportunity to sell millions of dvds and they throw it away.

Has anyone actually tried contacting EMI themselves?

yeah i sent EMI Canada an email thorugh tier website, and i havnt got a reply

if you want send them a email

or contact info (UK)

as well as

Thanks for those links Maj039. I'll be sure to give them a piece of my mind!!!

yeah...that seems to be the general consensus now

I asked them, and they said that there would just be the unofficial biography which is coming out on the 31st...

Sad sad day

yeah did you know though that that "unoffical biography" has been pushed back more then 2 or 3 times.. Futureshop.ca now says estimated release Nov7.. before it was October 24, then before that march? and why would an unoffical dvd be so expensive, i would never pay 20 dollars for an unoffical (unless thier is no offical one, lol) anyways it is strange

Gonna probably watch this stream again!:)

Thanks for the streaming link, Maj039! And as for the DVD, I had an idea to get EMI to do something......

Everyone should send the following message (or similar) to EMI:

I would like to thank EMI for ruining the spirits of Coldplay fans all around the world. The two shows Coldplay played in Toronto were highly advertised as "filmed with 20 cameras" and will be made into an "upcoming DVD later this year." All around the world, fans anxiously waited for the release of one of the best concerts in decades by the biggest band of the year. Now, it is almost 2007, and we have no DVD and have been told that instead all we get is a "televised event." I have not even seen the event listed in my area, so not only will I not get to buy the DVD and have this concert forever a memory, but I can't even watch it on TV as promised! EMI has really been horrible to all of the people that buy CD's from them. When the DVD was cancelled, a reason wasn't even given. EMI truly ruined this holiday season for Coldplay fans. Perhaps more people would be understanding if they were informed on why the DVD will not be released. I have checked the box asking to be contacted about this message. I would like the reason the Coldplay Twisted Logic Tour 2006 is a televised event instead of a DVD.

Regards,

Fan of Coldplay

Please remember to change the message as is applicable, it is not listed in my area so I did put that line in there. My idea is that if EMI receives say, a few hundred of these, perhaps they will rethink their decision about the DVD. Here is the link to contact EMI: http://www.emimusic.ca/contact.asp.

I hope everyone will consider doing this as another way to try to bring back the Toronto DVD.

converting Toronto Live 2006 file

Hi, I watched the stream of the Toronto concert via mms://streaming.arnet.com.ar/C22O11L06D_148 -- it was great! Thank you maj039 for providing this link.

I noticed after watching it that there is a .dat file in my temorary internet files folder called "C22011L06D_148..." which is 134MB. Because windows media player called the toronto stream C22011L06D_148 when I played it I assume this file is the video file of the concert. If I drag the file from my temp internet files folder to my desktop and try to open it from WMP, however, WMP won't play it, I guess because it's a .dat file. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knew how, if possible, to convert this file to a video file I can store on my computer and/or put on a cd to give to friends. It would also be cool if the .dat file of the concert could be converted to an .mp3 file would could then be put on an mp3 player and listened to.

Does anyone know how to do either of these things, if doing so is possible? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi. Welcome to Coldplaying! I can't tell you how to do those things, but I can tell you that you'll find the concert both in mp3 audio and AVI video in the first post here:http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36432&page=20

Your best bet is always to check out the Multimedia section for shows!:)

is there a way to download this stream???

a guy posted, that he downloaded it at youtube.... but i haven´t got an idea...

can someone help me or give me a hint!??

for downloading you need a tool called itube, you just have to put the url in a line and the program downloads the video on the site (and, unfortuanetly, convert it into mp4)

BUT I WOULD BE HAPPY ABOUT SSING THE ORDER OF THE SONGS FOR BURNING IT ON CD/DVD!!!!!
