This past few weeks I've been going through some pretty... weird times. Just lots of little things and some bigger things that usually go well have been creeping up on me and hitting me in the face.

I mean, usually I don't have bad luck, but I don't have good luck either. When something goes wrong, I usually have something else going well alongside. Kinda evens out the equilibrium.

This week has NOT been one of those times. I'm not gonna go into details about it but it's just stuff about relationships with friends, girlfriends, the fact I need to decide what University I'm gonna go to, I don't have enough time to do things I wanna do...

And basically, it's doing my head in. And I have no idea in hell of getting something to make me forget it all.

Any suggestions? What do you all do to cheer yourselves up when everything seems to be kicking you in the.... shins.

Take comfort in the fact that things get a lot worse when you're older ;)

Well, I can't think of positive things when bad things happen, I can only think 'this could be worse'.. and when I have bad things, I listen to music

Aww I'm so sorry, Jack. But I understand what you are going through. It can stress you out majorly and depress you, but when you take it in stride, everything's going to be okay. Sure, it's going to be really tough, especially at this time, but eventually will settle down and be at peace. You may think everything is so horrible now, but in retrospect later on, it will just be another bump in the thread.

As for what could cheer me up? One thing: COLDPLAY. I listen to them 24/7 when I'm in 'the mood,' and it makes me feel so much better.

I'm sorry if none of this helps you, but I surely want you to feel better! :shy:

I'm not very good at inspirational lectures. Ohh geez I shouldn't tell you all this, shouldn't I? Gosh I'm weird...

But I'm always here if you need to talk about anything! :nice:

well, as Elsje said, I think it's a good option to think "it could be worse" but you can also think about something else: although you're having a bad period, surely you'll learn something of it, and believe me, ppl learn much more about bad things than the good ones. So, probably, next time, these things won't happen to you anymore, 'cos you have experienced them once, and you'll be able to avoid them previously or manage them better.

hahaha well I think I'm used to things going wrong in my case.. but one of the things that cheer me up is seeing life as a comedy:laugh3: or just watch a comedy :idea2: Get a laugh and you'll soon forget :wideeyed: but whatever happened, hope you feel better.. Jack :)

Awesome advice guys :D

Some of it helps. :P

Best thing is about a forum where everyones miles away is that they give unconditional advice. Fantastic :)

Tell me about it.. I'm moving heaven and earth to make things right too.. :sick2: but now I have the feeling that because I want to make everything right and trying to make everything allright it'll be ending up worse.. but like Coldplay says.. "You never know if you don't try" :laugh3: I just thought of that :p

hehe

^^haha Good thinking' date=' liquidsky! :D[/quote']

Thanks! I thought someone would make fun of it..haha:laugh3::smug:

Oh well.......maybe this is not really an advice...and maybe this is not really smart...

but for me it works like that:

I think about it and wait for the next day to come!Because I always think tomorow it'll be better....

Ok.......I think sometimes the "strength" of a problem depends on my mood...I mean sometimes I make a problem out of some situations and sometimes not......it depends on how I feel....

so I just wait for the next day....

Jack, I actually have problems with the same things as you.... friends, boyfriends, the last grade of high school, and things i want to do but don't have enough time...

What can I say.... If I want to cheer myself up, I just listen to a good music (like Coldplay ;) ) or read a book or search for some good jokes. That usually helps, but not for very long. You know, sometimes is better to just forget about the things that bother you and do something that you want to do, even though another thing can suffer because of that. Sometimes you just have to do something and then move on other things, because if you keep all things unfinished, you can't really be happy, but having something done can make you feel better and give you the power to move on. :)

just look at it in a good side

things will get better when time goes by

i know everyone have said it

but it does better for me :)

for now, blow off some steam by playin basketball (you know, do something active that you like) and wait for things to settle. Problems are always their biggest when you're living them out. (duh) ...

so wait for things to settle (because they will) ... and later you will look back and be like...

" man, last week was shitty, but hey...look at me now." (or at least something not so lame)

The best advice to not getting down... is to STAY ACTIVE. If you mope, you will only give your negative ideas the best home to make you feel even worse.

Go out (even if you don't "feel" like it.) You will feel worse sitting around doing nothing.

AND don't watch the news. Hope it all goes well, Jack.

I think everything was said in the posts above me...

but, wish you the best jack :P
