I don't think anyone in the world knows how to play the exact live versions like Chris does.

I have been trying to get the Live version of Clocks that plays. I love that version the most.

Sometimes..i dont even think chris knows what hes playing..it sounds like its alot of improv and random inserts..he just happens to be a musical genius..so it works everytime

Hehe i basically know it...dont have time to fix it up nicely for you so ill try and type it...

Firstly, Chris plays the riff on the normal octave, as well as on the octave below with his left hand at the same time. An important feature...makes it sound much fuller...

 

Normal riff:

Eb,Bb,G,Eb,Bb,G,Eb,Bb,

Db,Bb,F,Db,Bb,F,Db,Bb,

Db,Bb,F,Db,Bb,F,Db,Bb,

C,Ab,F,C,Ab,F,C,Ab

 

 

Live Riff:

Eb,Bb,G,Eb,Bb,G,Eb,Bb,

Db,Bb,F,Db,Bb,F,Db,Bb,

Db,Bb,F,Db,Bb,F,Db,Bb,

C,Ab,F,C,Ab,G,Ab,C <---differs here

 

You may also want to play the lowest note of the chord when you play the highest note...so Eb with G for the first note, especially with your left hand..

I've been a pianist for 10 years, and Chris basically improvies within the chords he's playin'. He probably never plays one song the same twice in a live performance.
