Do you believe yourself affected by this?

I'm talking about all the propaganda and all the actual culture about how a woman, man should look like... great body, great eyes, great hair? I mean... this is everywhere... commercials about a lotion, there's a great looking guy, on tv all the fashion parades, thin girls with angelic faces, perfect legs, great bodies.

 

How does this affect you? one day I was just walking over the street and wow, not many people walking might stop to realise... everything was full of announces with great looking people, I think there's a lot of pressure on people to look like this standars nowadays... so there's no surprise why there's many anorexic-bulimic people, mmm.

 

I'm not affected by it.:smug:

Well.....I think I'm a bit affected by it....but only indirectly......of course I admire those people....ok I don't want to be perfect....and they aren't either...

 

with indirectly I mean that there are certain people who also dress like that.....and then I think "Oh it would b nice if you would look like that as well....".....but however.....currently I'm content with my look and my character....so it#s only a bit of admiring and nothing else...

I was just... stunned, how society is bombarded all the time with all these things... and this creates anxiety and complexes in some people, is kinda sad...

It affects me a little bit when I see commercials about hair products because my hair could never be like that. And the clothes ads bother me a little too because I can't afford that stuff. :(
