Miss Israel has been given permission not to carry her assault rifle during her military service in the Israeli army because she says it bruises her legs.

Reigning beauty queen Yael Nezri, a private who recently completed basic training, says the bruises are making it difficult for her to model in photoshoots.

The Jerusalem Post newspaper reported Ms Nezri, 18, had been granted an exemption by her commanders covering her two-year stint in the army.

How is she btw?

Disgraceful case of favouritism!! Shouldn't be allowed!!

The bruises are the part of the service honey, DEAL WITH IT!

hahaha. yeah gal wishes, when i spoke to her last weekend though she said she doesn't have to carry a rifle because her role doesn't require her to.

i'm not sure if thats correct, but that's what she told me...

naa i dont walk around with a weapon...

thank god i dont need it..... only every once in a while when i need to gaurd, and i needed it in basic training

it's the most uncomfortable thing to walk around with :disappointed:

it's true- it left tons of bruises on my legs and my hip.... it did that to everyone... my legs are still half dead from my basic training, and i think the army shoes totally screwed up my knees

im gonna sue the army :dozey:
