I feel most of Coldplay's lyrics are pretty straightforward, but I dont understand what the song Clocks is about. :confused:

I think it's about dying/death, but I don't know if there's one true thing that it's about.

i haven't got a clue... in ezine 6 chris goes through the tracks on AROBTTH but all he said about Clocks is that it was the newest track on the record, that is was recorded very fast and that it was inspired by Muse.

I'd say it is just about the general feeling of life.

 

But everybody interprets the song their own way, it has its own meanin for each person. To me, I don't know, I just feel like Clocks tells my life story... not just the words, like the music and everything together...it's quite hard to explain.

I heard it was about death. But it's so upbeat. But the lyrics so seem like he's worrying about something. :thinking:

I don't know...I think Clocks is a song that really, truly isn't about the lyrics, but about the music.

 

When I listen to it, I'm hearing the music, not the words. Call me unsophisticated, but that's just my thought.

well...Clocks is amazing...this song made me felling in love Coldplay. and "A tiger's waiting to be tamed" this lyric always made me confused.:lol:

I love the line "Am I part of the cure or am I part of the disease?"

The whole song is poetic...

Absolutely beautiful song, anyone who knows me personally know that my absolute favourite song in the world is clocks. i think everyone will always have their own spin on every lyrics, what so great about them is that they can convey numerous feelings and moods. for me this song always has a different meaning depending upon what mood im in when im listening to it.
