Drove 5 hours to Austin, stood outside in the cold for 5 hours more to see this.

Some old man came by while I was waiting to get in......

Man: What are you waiting for?

Me: Coldplay are broadcasting a simulcast of their show here tonight.

Man: Who are Coldplay?

Me: A band from England.

Man: I see. Do you go to school here? (UT)

Me: No sir, I drove in from the Beaumont area.

Man: Beaumont, that's like 4 or 5 hours away!

Me: Yes sir.

Man: when does it start?

Me: 7pm (it's only 3pm)

Man: And this simulcast thing, it's what exactly?

Me: the band are playing for the taping of ACL and they will be simulcasting sound and video to the auditorium so more people can see it.

Man: So you drove all day and are standing out in the freezing cold just to see a movie of this band?

Me: Well whan you put it like that it sounds kinda crazy. :dozey:

:laugh3::laugh3:

Haha :p Well this is pretty funny yeah haha :D

But a year ago :(

They have to come back very soon :)

could they understand anything the people there said?

well we had been there for a week before this so they had kinda gotten used to it. When we first arrived we were a bit of a novelty....they were like "yall have Mcdonalds in Scotland?"...."yall have glass elevators in scotland?" (that one was asked whilst I was in a glass elevator funnily enough) I don't know where the hell they thought we lived! In a cave in the highlands somewhere probably :laugh3: My absolute fav moment tho was when the girl I was staying with took us to visit one of her teachers. The guy was like "yall say sumthin' in scotch"....my friend and I were like "what?" and he said " i dunno....say 'It's great to be in Georgia".....so me and my friend say (in our best Georgian accents) "It's great to be in Georgia!" :laugh3:

People always ask if I know Eminem because I am from the Detroit area.

And would you admit to it if you did??:P

Wow! I would have done the same thing, Angie!

*btw* I say "sir", "ma'am", and "ya'll" too... :P

Help! It's catching!!

And would you admit to it if you did??:P

He's quite an inspiration around here. Not to me exactly. I think he's talented but how can someone with so much success be so angry? He needs to take an anger management class or something. My friend from highschool kind of dated his younger brother at one time. But it didn't last. whatever not that exciting.

So back on topic, I loved when Chris was chatting with the young boy in the crowd. And how Mr. Stipe joined onstage. Classic Coldplay performance!

I'm afraid it just doesn't warsh!!:P

OMG. This is total spam but I said to my friends today: "FUCK YA'LL!" and I thought of you, Mark!

I don't usually catch myself saying "ya'll"...
