I just did all my Christmas shopping in 30 minutes, 3 days before Christmas, and kept it under $100. I feel good right now. :P

I have WAY overspent. BUt they way I see it. I'd rather spend a wee bit more and get someone a present they'll appreciate rather than just buying some crap for the sake of it (which I have been known to do in the past! lol)

 

Did you not find it difficult buying CDs - Knowing people's tastes or even if they actually have it already!

i bought all my friends cds for xmas, that's a great idea! but my family is another story. i'm on my way out now to finish shopping for my family...i have a wedding to attend at 3 and a xmas concert at 6...

it took me way too long. i started pretty early and i still had to get my last present today!

Luckily I know pretty much every cd my friends own and also what they like/want. And my family same thing, I know what they like.

 

The way I see spending is you don't really have to worry about overspending because in the end, you get so much more in return than what you deserve from friends. I mean I spend $20 on my mother but I know she spends 5 times that (well probably more). Its not all about the dollar value.
