Stupid question alert - how do you read Bass tabs? I've never played before, just curious as I'm thinking of buying one. Use White Shadows as an example:

E----------------------|

 

So do you play D in the 6th fret then D in 4th fret, then A in 6th fret. then D in 6 again?

Same as guitar tab i would have thought. Strum the two note of 4 and 6 together.

(Disclaimer: i am not a bassist and have never played bass :P)
