February 6, 200719 yr Hello folks! I got a Nikon Coolpix S7c model camera for Xmas 2006, and it served its purpose until I dropped it (and God knows I feel terrible about it, I cried when I did because I guard the damn thing and never let anyone touch it and then I drop it on accident!) and now when I turn it on, it seems to be functional except... the lens doesn't take anything in. The screen is still alive and working, but the lens doesn't show any images. It's just black. I can still view pictures, but every time I take a new one, it's just black. I'd really like a solution to fixing this. I'm mortified of telling my parents because they'd probably butcher me, since I broke my last camera, by dropping it. Is it repairable? And if not, since it's less than a month old, is it possible to return it? I'd love any kind of response. If it's not repairable, I'm going to tell my parents that it stopped working one day, and see where that gets me. Thanks in advance!
February 6, 200719 yr This is probably something you'd need a technician to look at. If it's new it should still be under warranty......
