Líder de Coldplay evocó a Pablo Neruda y besó a Ángela Prieto

Ron desde dos mil 500, whisky desde tres mil 500 y, la única comida, sushi de ocho piezas a tres mil. Estaba claro cuál era el público objetivo anoche en Espacio Riesco: parejas adultas que pagaron al menos 44 mil pesos para celebrar el Día de los Enamorados con Coldplay de fondo.

 

Y si ese fue el plan de gran parte de las cinco mil personas que repletaron el recinto, la velada estuvo perfecta. Porque el cuarteto inglés ofreció lo más granado de su repertorio, mezclando con acierto su melancólico rock de guitarras con sus baladas más populares, creando así un ambiente de real complicidad con los asistentes.

 

A las 21.45, y tras una introducción con la música de “Tomorrow never knows” de The Beatles, la banda subió al escenario para interpretar “Square one” y “Politik”. El vocalista Chris Martin saltaba como loco, mientras cientos de celulares emergían como antorchas para sacarle una foto. “Estamos en Santiago por primera vez y estamos muy feliz (sic) de estar aquí”, dijo en un torcido castellano que se empeñó en practicar durante toda la noche.

 

Aquello dio pie para interpretar su hit “Yellow”, que hizo cantar a todo el mundo, incluida Javiera Parra, entre una lluvia de globos gigantes multicolores que fueron a dar al escenario y que provocaron que Martin errara los últimos acordes de la canción. Pero eso a nadie le importó.

La fiesta para los fans siguió con los singles “Speed of sound” y “God put a smile upon your face”. A esta última, Martin le cambió la letra y evocó su visita del martes a residencia de Neruda en Valparaíso. Tras cantar la línea “where do we go, nobody knows (hacia dónde vamos, nadie sabe)”, el cantante agregó entre risas “a visitar la casa de Pablo ”.

 

Así se sucedieron más temas para el karaoke general: “The Scientist”, “Trouble”, “Clocks” y “Talk”, hasta completar 75 minutos exactos de concierto. La gente pidió el bis y la banda regresó para regalar “Swallowed in the sea”, “In my place” y “Fix you”. Era el final, pero la multitud quería más. Cuando las luces ya estaban prendidas y ya nadie esperaba nada, Martin volvió para regalar souvenires a sus fans. A una de ellas, le besó la mano. Era la modelo-actriz Ángela Prieto, hermana de María José, quien no se lo podía creer. Ella tuvo un perfecto día de San Valentín."

 

I'll try to say in some words what I got from it:

At first it says that evertything was very expensive inside the theatre and that was clear that the target was all the rich people that payed that much to have Coldplay as soundtrack for their Valentine's Day.

 

It also says that at 21:45 the song Tomorrow Never Knows (Beatles) was played and the show was finally going to start. It says that Coldplay performed Square One and Politik and that Chris was jumping a lot and many cell phones appeared to take tons of pics of him."We're in Santiago for the first time and we're very happy for being here" tryed to say Chris, in the local idiom, that he's practiced all the night.

 

It talks about the balloons in Yellow and that he changed the lyrics during God Put a Smile Upon Your Face saying something about visit Pablo Neruda's house.

 

An interesting fact was that, after the end of the bis, when the lights were already turned off and no one was expecting anything Chris came back to give some souvenirs to the fans. He also kissed the hand of ângela Pietro, an model-actress, sister of Maria Jose, that couldn't believe what was happening. It was everything perfect in Valentine's Day.

Chris spoke on spanish! great! and they played Tomorrow Never Knows as intro. It was a "top" concert, with a few vip people in the audience. Chris said something about Pablo Neruda's house on GPASUYF, "where do we go, nobody knows, to visit Pablo's house" Chris gave gifts for the fans and kissed Angela Prieto's hand. She is a model. That's the most important in the article. I envy her so much!
