I wanna know if Sparks was ever a single.

 

The Independent gave away a free 4-track "Acoustic" Coldplay CD, and then an almost identical Sparks EP appeared.

 

As you can see the covers are virtually the same, as is the audio content.

 

This information would be useful since this would make Sparks their 5th single off one album.

Could mean a 5th single to come from AROBTTH...

Uk releases, then i don't believe it was released as a single...these are what i have

As for a 5th single Of AROBTTH i doubt it, it's possible, but...most, if not all, bands have this belief that 5 singles is too much off one album to release as singles, but it has happened before...but my guess is they would release something new after the 4th single, to help keep fans interested, 5 singles all from one album...some might say that creativity is running out.

In that case, when Don't Panic came out people must have thought they were milking Parachutes.. but then along came AROBTTH..

 

It'd be interesting if another single came off AROBTTH.

 

Warning Sign, Daylight and Politik are all candidates.

Warning Sign - it is rumoured Chris once said they'd never release this as it is his least favourite song on AROBTTH.

Daylight would make a good single, possibly even a good video..but it's not a great song.

Politik has been played a lot, Grammy's etc.. With the amount of politikal controversy Chris could throw into a video, this one would be an interesting single.

 

Alternatively, there are rumours that Moses or Ladder To The Sun will be released sometime this winter to keep fans interested...but that would mean a new album early next year.. and that simply wont happen.

my guess is they'll take a short break at the end of the year, get together some personal time, tour again for a bit, then do some studio stuff, for a new album at the end of 2004, early 2005?

Yeah, and its the 2 year gap that makes me think a lot of people will lose interest.

however most bands take a 2 year gap between albums, they had a gap between parachutes and AROBTTH so they needn't fear losing fans

 

besides, it's more than possible they can do a radiohead. It's not like they're going to be out of the news, what with cry baby oscar girl, and the tours..

With the rate of new songs coming from Chris at the mo, they'd be fools or just lazy to wait 2 years before releasing another album.

some of those new songs will undoubtadly be B-sides to new singles, and some for album releases, some for single releases.

 

I agree though, the amount of new songs they have, is vastly superior ro most other bands who have released an album not that long ago...

 

thinking about it though, it could only be another 12 or so months until the next album...

 

they may do a christmas single... :lol:

So new album....How many of the new songs will be B-sides, how many will make the album, reckon any are just for the live circuit

I doubt Idiot will ever make it to an album, its been played live for too long now.

Still, Animals hung around and made it to a b-side so who knows..

 

PErsonally I think Moses, Ladder To The Sun, Solid Ground, Marianne, Poor Me and World Turns Upside Down would make great album tracks, with Gravity and A Ghost maaaybbe getting on there...

If they ever finish it.. Its been hanging around as a 2-line demo for ages now

i am aware of that, but it does have some potential, and when they take some time off (as i'm sure they will) they'll finish off songs, write new ones etc...if anything they need some time off to get new songs written and practise them

AROBTTH was out in August 2002.. AFAIK..

hmmm...so mid 2004 i would say the 3rd album.
