Amazon listed the release date of the album as the 3rd of September 2007! Do you think it will be available by then?

How can they possibly know the release date at this stage. We all got our hopes up about the DVD when sites were producing release dates for that. And we all know what happened there! Best we can do is just chill out. It'll be ready when it's ready! I personally would rather wait another year for a really great album than they send out some shite they've just thrown together.

Its possible, what with a new website coming up and all. If the website is about to change and all, it will be because of the 4th album. September is still 4 months away, which is time to announce the release of a single, then an album aswell. But I wouldnt rely on it.

If this is the first specific date of release mentioned, then it should be taken with a grain of salt (or two). Anyone remember X&Y? Got moved back a few months in 2005 after it was given a release date...

I honestly dont think it'll happen. if it does... HELL YA !!!! but still... seems to weird, too quick. I would rather get official news from the coldplay website whenever it gets back up.

X&Y was delayed a bunch which makes me iffy.

There seems to be a different pace and attitude with this album though, X&Y was delayed alot true, but it was a also a very rushed album covered in deadlines. This album seems to be a lot more relaxed and thought out. My personal opinion is that the relative silence is due to the fact that the record label has wanted to keep this album sorta under wraps so as to have no ruined expectations. I THINK the album is either very close to being done if not done already and EMI is preparing the final steps to launch, aka why the site is down. Perhaps amazon just let it out a little early but i think the announcement is very close. Of course i am a huge optimist and they could very well be years away, who knows ;)

if the album isnt out by march i will be really mad, yet when the album comes out, i will forget about being mad, and then think it was worth the wait, but i am not emo or negative so i will say that this amazon thing looks real

Amazon probably got it wrong (as usual) but when i start adding things up i have some hope.

 

Over a year ago Chris said the album was already written, the Embrace guy said he had heard some tracks, Guy (maybe Will) said they would have something together by January 2007... plus the website is down, so thats enough to get my hopes up for a release this year.

Hm, I dunno what should I think. What did they safe after the last tour? That the album is going to be released in 2007 or 2008? The fact that the site is down might indicate that it'll be released in September 2007, but... I dunno. But I'm voting for the 1st option. :)
