How long before someone would find you?

 

Last year or the year before there was this old man across the street who had died and no-one knew. His next-door neighbours called the police when they started to notice a smell coming from his house. Apparently he had had a heart attack whilst sitting in his chair watching the telly. I think he had been dead for a week or a month or something - I don't know the exact length but somewhere around there.

 

I just think it's so sad that someone can die and not have anyone know for all that time.

 

So, I'm curious - if you died soon (today, tomorrow, this week etc) how long do you think it would be before someone realised?

Well, if three phone calls go unanswered by me from my fiancé...he will most likely call my sister or my brother in law (my current roommates). If there is no reply, he would call my job. No reply or a negative one, he might call my family (though they wouldn't know much at all of my whereabouts).

 

Basically, he would try to track any friends because he is a worrier like that. :rolleyes:

 

It does depend how I die. But I know it wouldn't be long to find me of it was at home because my roommates both come home at 6pm everyday. Maybe if my car fell in a ravine or somethin it would take lots longer, but at least there would be a search, ya know.

It's not meant to be in bad taste... I was just curious... I know that it's not the nicest of topics, but I don't think it's too much in bad taste. Maybe I'm bias, though.

This topic just seems a bit off because not many threads touch deeper than the surface. And some of these every once in a while are not bad. Just honest.

 

It made me think a bit of who out there really loved me enough to check up on me to know I am safe and doing well.
