Hello, I registered here because I got this inside news and I just need to share with other Coldplay fans. Chris Martin and Missy Elliot will join Nelly Furtado in her VMA performance next month! Nelly Furtado will kick off her performance with All Good Things (Come to an End) and Chris will enter to sing the second part with her, then Chris leaves and she starts singing Do It with Missy Elliot.

 

They will put fire on that stage!

Nelly Furtado Added to List of VMA Performers

 

NEW YORK — Nelly Furtado, Gym Class Heroes and Common have been added to the list of performers at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

 

Previously announced performers include Timbaland, Kanye West, Fall Out Boy, Chris Brown, Amy Winehouse, the Foo Fighters and Rihanna.

 

The 24th annual VMAs will air live from the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on Sept. 9, with Timbaland as "maestro," in charge of creating several "show-stopping and unexpected artist collaborations."

 

Lil' Wayne, T-Pain, Cee-Lo and Daniel Merriweather have also been added to the lineup of performers, MTV said Monday in a statement. Presenters and additional performers will be announced at a later date.

 

Furtado, who sizzled up the charts last year with her comeback song, "Promiscuous," is nominated for female artist of the year, along with Winehouse, Beyonce, Fergie and Rihanna.

 

Gym Class Heroes are up for best group and best new artist.

i've never been a huge fan of the VMAs (EMAs are better obviously), but i'm gonna have to watch it this year!

ooh, if this is true...! ill even sit through the VMAs to see if chris actually turns up. (music videos fascinate me, but only when i actually like the music paired with the video, and i can hardly think of a single video this year that goes along with music i like).

 

hopefully, in addition, the clip will turn up somewhere on coldplaying and/or youtube so we dont have to suffer through all the rap videos...:dozey:
