September 9, 200718 yr OK so the bowler throws the ball to a batsman and he hits it and is not out, that's 1 ball and the same batter, as long as he's not out, can hit all 6 balls in an over?
September 9, 200718 yr Author The bowler has to throw 6 balls which the umpire deems as legal (nothing too wide or too high), then the bowling person changes for another over (bowling the other way) then it changes away. The Batsman could change. Cricket is so hard to explain.

September 9, 200718 yr OK so when someone bats and they hit it past the boundary it counts 6 runs? But if they hit it into the field and the other team doesn't catch it, then the batter runs between the two wickets? And there are 2 batters out there, right, so each time they change ends, does it count as 2 runs? And can the outfield guys throw the ball and get them out while they are running between the wickets. They never show that bit on the highlights, it's always someone getting caught out or missing and the ball and it hits the wicket.

September 10, 200718 yr Author County Cricket is like the premier-league, with countries playing against each other (ie: Hampshire vs. Sussex). Test/2020/ODT is played by the English national team, and happens at the same time as the county cricket. If the batter hits the ball past the boundary without the ball hitting the ground first it is counted a 6, if it hits the ground first and rolls over the boundary it's counted as a 4, otherwise the two batsmen runs between the wickets for runs, every time the batsmen swap ends it's counted as one run, and if an outfield player manages a well-aimed shot at the stumps and hits them when the batsman is outside their "safety zone" than they are out.
