CollegeKNP_228x404.jpgCentral Sussex College: An entire class has been suspended while an investigation into bullying is carried out

An entire class has been suspended after pupils filmed themselves bullying their teacher and posted it on YouTube.

Staff at Central Sussex College said the students directly involved with the shocking footage face permanent exclusion and that the 20 plus students in the class had been suspended since the incident last week.

The clips, posted on the internet at the weekend, show teens at the further education college in Crawley, West Sussex, chanting swear words and shouting abuse at their despairing teacher.

The two-minute film, which has since been taken off the internet, was shot by a 16-year-old student on his mobile phone during a technology lesson.

It shows one teen shouting out lyrics from rap song Who Let the Dogs Out? while the rest of the class howl and bark hysterically.

The teacher, who has not been identified, attempts to carry on with his lesson, but appears powerless to stop the students' heckling and shouting.

The teen who posted the video on the popular website wrote: "Its me 1st year in college, all the boys just playing around, and the teachers doesn't give 2 s****, took it of me fone, so not so very clear."

It is not the first time that pupils at the further education college have got in trouble for posting videos of themselves misbehaving on the net.

In April films appeared on YouTube of them carrying out dangerous Kung Fu moves on each other.

A spokesperson for the college said bad behaviour would not be tolerated and that some of the pupils in the class could face permanent exclusion.

She said: "The behaviour in the footage posted on YouTube is considered by the college to be completely unacceptable.

"The college has decided to suspend the class pending a formal investigation.

"Those found to be directly involved will face formal disciplinary procedures and may be subject to permanent exclusion from the college."

Former Prime Minister Tony Blair officially opened the college - which specialises in teaching students vocational courses - in August 2005, telling students they were the future of Britain.

During the visit Mr Blair told students that investing in vocational colleges was as important as putting money into schools and universities.

He said: "Wherever you are in the world today, education and training in schools is going to be the future.

"Countries cannot succeed unless they develop their own human capital."

Emma-Jane Cross, chief executive of BeatBullying, said: "I am amazed at the stupidity of some people. Why would you record you and your mates committing a crime and post it on the most public forum in the world, YouTube?

"That's like someone breaking into my house and taking pictures of them doing it and sending them to the police. It's absurd.

"The sooner young people realise that all their online activity is traceable, the sooner the cyberbullying epidemic can be halted."

Opened in 2005, but from that picture it looked like it was built in the mid-60's

Wow, too bad people aren't more mature, why pay for college if you're going to mess around, lol.
