iTunes Plus Songs Headed for Price Drop

Featured Replies

Apple will drop the price of it's DRM-free iTunes Plus tracks this week, iLounge.com has reported. The more user-friendly songs, which are also twice the quality of regular tracks, will be available for $0.99 like the rest of the iTunes library. The old DRM-laden versions of the Plus songs will presumably be dropped from the iTunes Store. The story is here:

Even in the UK?

hmm I can't find anything about that...it's supposed to happen today so you could just check :)

Nothing yet, still 99p

yeah there hasn't been an announcement here in the States on iTunes or anywhere else. Maybe later today

You can't get access to the iTunes plus area at the moment.

hopefully it's undergoing modification...Although I bought AROBTTH and X&Y on iTunes Plus at the original price of $1.29 each so I feel kinda dumb now :)

I don't know for sure if it's changed or not, but for sure some albums that used to be $1.29 a song are now at the reduced $0.99 price.

Nothing has changed to my tracks in my shopping basket, apart from being turned into iTunes Plus tracks at 99p.

Is Apple trying to rip us off again by saying we're not allowed to buy the standard cheap tracks, only the expensive tracks which work out to be more than 2 dollars
