Awards and Achievements

It depends on how much the subject or competition means to me and how hard I worked to get there I guess. There have been some that I don't even remember that I got they mean so little to me, but on the other hand winning some awards for my artwork in highschool gave me the courage to study art for a bit. But on the third hand, (now there's a funny creature for you) being shortlisted for a major writing award in college psyched me out so much that I got the worst case of writers block I've ever had afterwards.

One of my favourites!:)

Oh, and I got a trophy when the football team I coach won the league ;)

I believe that "unsought-after", genuine respect from your peers or friends is worth far more than any award could ever be.

That's why footballers and actors rate acknowledgement by their contemporaries so highly (e.g. end-of-season football players' player award - for what it represents).;)

I got an award for finishing top of my class at university. My mum was happy about the award part, I was happy because it also came with a cash prize. :D
