I don't normally send stuff by post, unless it's for a forum's secret santa and your sending it up north.

Postal rates are the same any time of year, be at Christmas, be in April or be in August.

I meant the gifts themselves would be cheaper (because of the sales etc.).

Once in a while I send soemthing to the UK, and last year I received a football jersey from the people I met there when I visited. But it's very rare that I mail anything.

It's nice to give and get packages in the mail at Christmas...if adds a little excitement to a stressful season, but it's not worth stressting over. I agree with Mark about that.

Anything I've bought has been online and sent straight to my parents' home for wrapping. Some DVDs, CDs and a book. Job done, no stress, lovely-jubbly, time for lots of other stuff.:D

Oh and I've also treated myself to a new phone, some T-shirts and a double CD deck, also all purchased online.

No shopping crowds for me.:smug:

I've always been uncannily lucky with the shopping.I'll go out 3 days before Christmas, find exactly what I want, find a short line or no line at all, even though the stores are crowded. The last minute thing is stressful, but it's kind of fun...I like seeing if my luck holds, lol.

And I always treat myself to a Christmas prezzy. It's my reward for doing the crazy lastm inute thing.:smug:

No, I just wait til I see the person. Although it's a nice feeling to receive things in the mail, as long as they aren't bills!

People ain't spending as much as normal this year due to debt
