omg. SHIT. terhantam the "Post Quick Reply" button too many times. noob me.

Kimgan, 3 assignments at the same time? Hang in there! I've just started my sem so I'm just bracing myself for the upcoming stress and caffeine overload...

Oh yeah, I went to St Johns for Form 6 and they didn't offer English Lit at all... :\ My friend from Convent Bukit Nanas also had to take her Eng Lit paper outside, because her school didn't offer it either. Not sure about the others though...

And yeah, Sejarah's still the same. Sejarah Dunia's still only taught in Form 4. That was the only time I liked Sejarah... Haha. Not to be racist or anything, but our sejarah is quite dull... And you can tell it's pretty biased. But that's another story all together... :P :chris:

Oh yeah, have I ever expressed how much I LOVE your siggie? The Edge is so cute. :laugh3:

oh....you from St John's? hehe i'm from BBGS. :P

when i was there (which was before the school had to make way for the Pavillion mall  ), they still had English Lit for SPM at least. i'm not sure about STPM since i didn't do Form 6 & i'm actually from Science stream. it's just that i still love the Arts, particularly English, very much. :D

& yeah, i agree with you about Sejarah Tanah Melayu. tho History in itself is, truthfully, a biased subject since the writer/publisher/govt can control what passes for history. but i digress.

anyway, how the hell is the teaching proportionate: 4yrs for Sejarah Tanah Melayu (just 1 place/region) vs 1yr for The Rest Of The World...WTF!!! :inquisitive:

& no, i don't think you've mentioned before, but thanks! haha :D

I'm an undergraduate but tak rasa fun pun :dozey:

OMG Discrete Maths :freak:

I had a look at the Engineering Mathematics and Pure Calculus books yesterday and I don't even can read the title properly. :P

Rudy...you're in the wrong country to enjoy undergrad life. :P

& yeah...Engineering Maths is pretty tough too. also only glanced at a bit of it. since us CompSci ppl use the Engineering library. i SO wanna run away screaming at the mere mention of "maths" (& yet i'm doing CompSci... :dozey: )

what's MA and MSc?

I wish that Sejarah had a balance. I love Sejarah. But I wish that the syllabus taught more of other things. My friend at international school studies about British in Britain and WW2. How lucky of him. :(

I'm not sure whether it covers mostly about Malaysia. but form 4 has a bit of Sejarah Dunia. I LOVE form 2 sejarah. The Brits in Malaysia, .

and im thinking of taking English Literature as my 10th subject... Is it a good choice? :\ I need advice, because it's like extra money to spend on tuition.

oh yes, i wanted to post this at the Asian thread, but it's more concentrated on Malaysia so I thought it would be better to post it here...

today when my kokurikulum teacher announce on the speakers, he started off with the usual greetings, and then he said "Salam 1Malaysia." and i was like wtf.

from what i remember Form 4 Sejarah does touch a bit on the British Empire, the Middle Ages, etc. & WW2...but only briefly. British History on its own is already a lot & that's not including the WW2 British Occupation era. i had to study a bit of it cos i was tested on it for some of the UK school entrance exams for O-Levels/A-Levels studies...British History needing 4 yrs to cover is more justified, imo.

& English Lit, if your English (written, reading & spoken) is very good, you shouldn't have much of a problem. especially if you find the standard Malaysian govt school's English syllabus a breeze. ;)

RUDY! How can you not know I went to St Johns? Haha! Who's your best friend? I might know him! We Johannians are a tight-knit group, you know! Although maybe when I was there he was only Form 1?

Speaking of Johannians, Aizat has just won Juara Lagu a few minutes ago... I think, anyway... people on my facebook are so kecoh about it, so I thought I'd spread the news... But I doubt anyone here cares. Hahah. I always thought his songs were dull, but whatevs. Faizal Tahir should've won... DON'T THROW STONES AT ME! :P
