argh!

i don't get it.

my computer doesn't play any soudns anymore!

i cannot hear that starting/shutting down noise windows usually makes and i cannot listen to bands on myspace or youtube videos.

it's really weird.

thing is... programmes like itunes or several video programmes play music!

so my speakers cannot be broken!

what's wrong then?

i really need your help....!!!

ok. im really not a computer type person. But, I had a similar problem once. So, this might help.

Go to settings, control panel then go 2 sounds/audio.

Then go 2 hardware. Go through all the things in the list, if anything isn't running properly, then troubleshoot it.

It should self-explain itself from there.

I dunno, I hope it helps. It might not. That was for PC as well..so yeh.

Good luck!!

everything's okay there.

couldn't find anything wrong and it also says that everything's good. :(

Sound card

Your sound card may be broken. First, do as Crastingwaves told you. If it doesn't work, the sound card is out. Are you sure you didn't tick a square, by mistake, and now it's mute. Check it out, or a thread unplugged from the speakers.

If there is sound from programs like iTunes and windoze media crasher, then it can't be a problem with the sound-card.

Try reinstalling your interweb browser.

Or ask at the computer active forums.

I had the same problem, and it turned out to be that i had accidentally clicked something in the sound settings,I.E there was no sound driver,so maybe go to sounds and audio devices and then it should say the name of the program, device,if it doesn't you will have to select it/turn it on...

That's just what happened to me,i dunno if it will help you.

i think i know your problem thats happen to me before if your speakers are working and there nothing wrong with them also if all your audio volume is working the problem is probably if you have more that one player to play your songs like real one and windows medio turn all of them that you have on and one of them is probasbly on mute or the volume is all the way down it sound stupid but it works! i use windows media but the volume didnt work then i realized my real one player had the volume down i turn it up then everything worked!!!

Sometimes if your sound goes 100%, try logging off and logging back onto your user account, as sometimes it's the sound-card which crashes

Before you go breaking your machine with a hammer () I had the same problem, possibly caused by a virus or spyware issue. The volume on one of your mixers (probably the internet browser one) is turned right down. You'll need to go in to the volume settings and find which one it is, then turn it up. After that do a spyware and virus check and system clean, and you should be fine :)

Hammer. :P
