heh, this is actually a cool idea. though its been done before, or attempted to be done before. this strikes me as more of a radiohead-esque thing to do than coldplay, however.

Baing a Hitchhiker's Guide fan, and an X-Files fan, I sent Agent Mulder in search of the Truth...

i think 42 is a pretty cool album name given the hitchhiker's reference (one of my favorite books ever!), but i must say i'm still holding out for a kickass title that we havent heard of yet. something ubercreative and cool-sounding.

 

if they name the next album 42, they'd be on kind of a mathy streak, yeah?? X&Y, then 42? :laugh1: :smart:

I've never been a math person...but I guess Coldplay album titles are an exception. :P

I love the mathy titles...they come from the same creative place a song like The scientist comes from, emotional yet analytical. For me, that's always been a big attraction about Coldplay.

Don't Panic: A Hitchhiker's Guide referrence. The first song from the album Parachutes. The username of the person who posted the 'Mulder 42 pic on my favorite Xfiles forum (dntpanic42...she's not even a Coldplay fan, btw).

 

42: HGTG reference to Life, The Universe And Everything. Fox Mulder's apt. number in The X-Files. Speculated title for the new Coldplay album.

The new album will simply be titled, "The New Album".:P
