I'm after an MP3 player & looking for recommendations.

 

Has to be audiobook compatable (audible.com) & of the same sort of spec as the i-pod nano & sandisk e280.

yep. Gone for the sansa view in the end.

I'm on my second sansa. My first one randomly had the screen crack on Christmas Eve.

I like iPods, they work fine for me and they look cool. but are sansas any good?

Sony do a good range !

But it's Sony, and you don't want the large international company who screws over people by upgrading firmware but not allowing other companies who make products under license to Sony to upgrade, so you get forced to buying the Sony product. Not to mention the fact that Sony has been found guilty of putting spyware onto computers.
