lol... a Killers fan I see

I'm great though. Apart from the fact that I've just run out of custard creams... Noooo! (well I do have two slices of bread left and some chocolate spread, so I might just survive)

I catch lots of hell for liking The Killers. :P

It's nice to hear you're doing fine.

Bread is tasty.

Ugh the killers suck now!

Well, I'm less world-endingly sick than I was... so less than fine, but yet better than good?

Nooo. Sam's Town was brilliant. And Sawdust is a great compilation.

It's always good to feel better, but we can't always feel the best, yes?

Nope,it went south after Hot Fuss.

Sam's Town is a really American album, in my opinion. Lyrically and musically. I can really relate to a lot of the lyrics, but I guess it's different in other countries. You know, the feeling of living with huge dreams in a town full of people who generally don't care to leave.

America is just totally different than other places in the way the people and towns are connected, and that album reflected it.

Amen to that.

I really can't wait to see what they do next.

I read somewhere that they might return to their original sound. I can't remember where.

Oh i see. Well seeing as I liked both their albums, I'm not too worried if they stick to the formula :D

...unless they star making country music. Thats another kettle of fish.

^^That would be nice. I miss their old sound.

Didn't care for Sam's Town, but having heard several of the songs on the radio now, I guess I understand why they went that way- they're far too good at songwriting to get stuck in one style and old before their time.

Oh jeez...country Killers... -dies-

I think that they're probably gonna keep moving forward and changing their sound. A return to synth-popish stuff just wouldn't be interesting. To me, anyway. :P

Sawdust was extremely disappointing for me. I think i listened to it once. I did like the Lou Reed collab. and Shadowplay though.

But after that it went *make airplane going down sound with hand motion*

^ It was nice to finally hear that bourbon on the shelf song that finished the whole murder mystery thing...

  • Author

Nah, not true at all, Briggins.

There were quite a few good songs there, like "Leave the Bourbon on the Shelf". "Move Away" was another one...

I can't remember the other ones. I'd heard most of them before anyways.

I had downloaded a couple of them...and I had a live version of "All The Pretty Faces"...that was about it, though.

I'm actually a member at a fansite...another one of those things where I pretty much am only there because the people are cool. Not because I'm a Killers super-fan.

Was "Take Me Where the White Boys Dance" or whatever its called on the album?

  • Author

Yes.

It was also an extra track on some copies of Sam's Town, I think.

Yeah, it must've been, because I was pissed because I thought it would be on my copy, but it wasn't. xD

It was some iTunes pre-order thing...

But I didn't know that.

Nooo. Sam's Town was brilliant. And Sawdust is a great compilation.

I agree! Trouble is people weren't prepared to give Sam's Town a few listens was all just "well it's not as instantly catchy as Hot Fuss, they've lost it". There's some great tracks on Sam's Town! Annoyingly if they'd made an album like Hot Fuss everyone would be moaning that they'd copied a formula
