fakfak
During the AROBTTH tour. Did Chris and Jon share a single Ric 360? They were both Jetglow and they never played with it on the same track. Weird Question, but it's one of those things I can't get out of my mind until I find an answer...
PianoRocker
Yes, it is the same ric. Jonny play on it on Daylight, Chris on One I Love. I don't think they have 2 ric's.
Tnspieler1012
I just realized you guys were talking about rickenbacker guitars. Well, they might share it, but the tunings for daylight and one I love are radically different(doesn't chris play it in moses too?). Could be that it's retuned back stage or something. Yes in Moses 2. Ofcourse they let it tune it backstage. What do you think of Chris's acoustic guitar? :P That must also be tuned for many songs.;)

TraceOddity
A friend of my has a Hummingbird identical to Chris's. They're absolutely beautiful guitars! As for that Ricky...what can I say? *DROOLS* That's my dream electric. And yes. I read way back when that they do indded share it, and a tech re-tunes it backstage. fakfak
Ric's are AWESOME guitars indeed...;) (Personally though, I'm not too keen on the Jetglow finish, I much prefer both Fireglow and Mapleglow, but to each his own...) Jon actually has quite a bit of re-tuning done during the course of shows. (not uncommon, but he seems to have his Tele's retuned more than most.) The guys actually seem to "share" guitars a lot too. Jon's Jazzmaster technically belongs to Chris, and the also swap acoustics among one another often.) BTW, Chris doesn't use a hummingbird, do you mean his Gibson J-200? crestingwaves
Where did you hear that the Jazzmaster belongs to Chris??? All I know is that Will gave Jonny a guitar when he became drummer, I can't remember which one though...I think it was the blue tele.
fakfak
I've read about the Jazzmaster is several articles (some of which I'm sure are archived here) sorry, I can't remember any specifics at the moment...:\ Jonny's Blue Telecaster JD is the one that used to belong to Will. crestingwaves
If anyone can find any of the articles which mention Chris' Jazzmaster and the story behind it, can they post a link here??
fakfak
http://www.coldplaying.com/index.php?name=Sections&req=viewarticle&artid=233&page=1 If you scroll down a ways, Jon mentions that the Jazzmaster originally belonged to Chris. Not much of a "story" though... Hope this helps (at least slightly):D
TraceOddity
This could take some digging, but I swear I've seen pics of Chris with a Hummingbird. And yes, I love the other Gibson he plays, but it's not the guitar I meant. I know there are some in the CP'ing gallery, and my friend has some from the Bell Centre show of all the instruments lined up before the show, and there IS (on my honour) a Hummingbird there.:)
fakfak
I've never seen Chris with a hummingbird, cool to know he has one. My acoutsic of choice is an acoustic Firebird, essentially a hummingbird with reshaped pickguard and made out of wild maple, very cool if I do say so...
