Um dia depois do lançamento do seu novo álbum, David Fonseca vai estar em directo para conversar com os leitores do JN. O chat online vai acontecer aqui, em jn.pt, na próxima terça-feira, a partir das 20.00h.

"Between the waves" sucede a "Dreams in colour"

David Fonseca, antigo líder dos Silence 4, lança na próxima segunda-feira o seu mais recente trabalho a solo, intitulado “Between the waves”.

O álbum, sucessor de “Dreams in colour”, disco editado há dois anos, teve como single de avanço o tema “A cry 4 love”, que David Fonseca disponibilizou no seu site para download. Com 11 faixas, este é o quarto registo de originais do músico de Leiria.

Antes de enveredar pela música, David Fonseca chegou a ser fotógrafo de moda. O álbum de estreia dos Silence 4 saiu em 1998, sob o título “Silence becomes it” e tornou-se um enorme êxito a nível nacional. O segundo registo da banda, “Only pain is real”, surgiu em 2000.

Os Silence 4 acabaram em 2002, tendo David Fonseca assumido desde então uma carreira a solo, cujo primeiro fruto chegou ao mercado em 2003: “Sing me something new”. Dois anos mais tarde, lançou o álbum “Our hearts will beat as one”.

A Blitz já tinha anunciado na sua versão online, Minta, que é na verdade Francisca Cortesão, que lançou há não muito tempo o disco Minta & The Brook Trout, foi a escolhida para substituir Rita Redshoes na banda de David Fonseca. Ao Bodyspace Francisca Cortesão conta como: «candidatei-me, como as outras pessoas, através do mail que foi anunciado no blog do David. E felizmente fui a escolhida». É esta a beleza da democracia, estendida neste caso à música.

 

Francisca Cortesão não esconde a felicidade pela oportunidade que tem à frente: «estou muito contente por várias razões: pela oportunidade de tocar músicas que não as minhas, por me religar ao piano, que tinha deixado de lado, por poder fazer coisas musicalmente que estão bastante distantes daquilo que costumo fazer, por poder tocar com um grupo excepcional de músicos e ter acesso a sítios a que dificilmente chegaria com Minta. Não sei bem o que isto representa para a minha carreira, vamos andando e vamos vendo. Minta continua, claro».

 

Os próximos capítulos da aventura de Minta estão quase a chegar mas entretanto vale mesmo a pena deitar ouvidos ao seu disco de estreia a solo, que deverá marcar presença nas listas de melhores discos deste 2009 que caminha vertiginosamente para o fim.

Depois do sucesso radiofónico que foi "O Livro dos Porquês", David volta a unir-se a Nuno markl e assina o tema da sua nova rubrica na Rádio Comercial, "A Caderneta de Cromos".

 

O tema (simplesmente apelidado de "Crómó!") pode ser ouvido AQUI.

A rubrica de Markl pode ser ouvida na Rádio Comercial de 2ª a 6ª, ás 8h45 e 9h45.
