Can anyone shed any light on the process of adding a pickup to an acoustic guitar that is not already an electric/acoustic? I know many professional players do this, and I'd like to get a pickup installed on my hummingbird, but don't know much of anything about what getting such a mod done entails.

I believe there are a number of companies that make removable pickups, had one myself but I forget the maker. Its much easier (and useful) to pick up a PA and mic the acoustic in my opinion.
