Good luck... I'm an expert at those late night writing sessions. hate it but love it.

I can't wait to graduate. I'm sick of this poop.

How soon? What do you study?

I finish up at the end of May. I'm a Political Science major, but I intend to go into finance (stock market stuff) and later start my own companies. How bout you?

Dude if I skip two more class meetings in Italian I'll have failed the course. It's not because I'm a slacker... it's because he has a fascist attendance policy. Three strikes and you're out. Contrary to what they often tell you, I'm inclined to believe the "real world" is easier than school. Just a hunch.

Oh wow, soon to be grad! Congrats. hang in there.

Poli Sci and Finance, very nice. Two foreign subjects to me.

I just graduated in Dec. with a B.S in human bio and this Sept. I start a program in radiation therapy. woooooot! I sound excited but I'm really nervous.

Is that what you take to become a radiologist? My mom's friend's husband is one of those, and he opened his own doctors office and bought the equipment to do it (using borrowed money). Now he employs several doctors and he's very wealthy.

I'm going to try to start a hedge fund, which is just where you run around and ask rich people if you can manage their money for them. Then you gather it all up into a pile and invest it in anything you want - commodities, currencies, stocks, bonds, startups, real estate. It's extremely risky because the goal is to beat what the average market return is (usually just 10% a year). A good hedge fund shoots for 20 to 50% returns a year. Sometimes you can get that by borrowing money (called "leveraging") but that obviously increases the risk dramatically. Oh, and there are ways to make money on a stock that goes down... it's all very fun stuff. Requires a gambler's mentality, though.

You like money, huh?

Nope not going to be a radiologist. That's a doctor and there is no way in hell I'd go to med school.

I'll be the person who actually administers the therapy, with the patient contact. I'm all about getting in there with the people ( my mom is a survivor of cancer). But I'll also do MRIs, x-rays, and dosimetry. Hopefully in 2010 I'll be on my merry way out to Hawaii and loving life.

What if you lost those rich people's money? Do they even know you are doing that?

lol, you figured me out. I do like money... which is odd since I don't have a penny to my name.

Typically rich people diversify their investments among many hedge funds, so if my fund went totally kaput, they'd only lose a fraction of what they owned overall. There are lots of examples of hedge funds that blew up (Amaranth and LTCM come to mind)... but I can't say I'd make my fund as risky as those.

You want to work in a Hawaiian hospital? That sounds sweet, I love the tropics.

Well best of luck with that. Sounds like it might work and just be a smooth talker with those richies.

Oh yes, I want to move there and never leave, most beautiful place on earth!

Alright, off to sleep now. Keep studying!

Ugh. I'm in a very challenging critical thinking type course right now, and it has become very confusing. I'm up late re-reading the last several chapters in hopes that I can become un-confused.

I'm attempting to study but it's just not happening....it's too nice outside during the day to study and then at night you're too 'tired' to study and the tv just happens to be on!!!

I hate this time of year :bigcry:

Good luck with that.

I've got an economics exam tomorrow at 12, so I'll have to stay up at least for a little bit to revise.

Judging by the quick response I guess you are having as much fun as me at the moment. ^^

I better watch out, or I might overdose on this "fun".
