right i was just thinking a while ago about what i'd heard about the new album before we all heard it......and i think i remember that quite a while ago a thing went out saying coldplay were going to ditch the piano's and go for a totally rock- filled album...........now was it true that they said it? or have the voices in my head made that up?

 

and also when people say "oh, u've got those voices in ur head again"...why's that odd?.....the odd thing would be "oh, its the voices in my leg again"

1. Through away your clearly possessed shoe

 

2. Eat the lemon and cook, I repeat *cook* the sausage before you eat it, that'll make the craving go away

Sorry for the delay James had to cut off a zillion copies of VLVODAAHF for people in the area. Jesus I never knew I was surrounded by this many CP fans!!

 

But I must admit I'm worried abotu what has happened to you now that you're talking about which Sister Act film was better...this requires a serious intervention! I, as your know-it-all doctor/psychologist/guru/sheister must advise a steady diet of CP, Sigur Ros, Arcade Fire and TV on the Radio music until you have returned your serotonin levels to normal. No I do not think it was all in your head. I did read somewhere that they were going for more of a rock sound. This may have been an opinion though. Because there was such a strong rumor of "change" .

 

IMO, the album is edgier and has some "rock" moments. I wouldnt classify it as such.

I think Chris said once that the album would be a "fast, dark and heavy affair with no pianos". I think that was back in 2006 sometime, so you definitely didn't imagine it :wink:. That description stuck with me for quite a while, and Violet Hill seemed to confirm it (well, there was piano, but it was dark and heavy) but as we know, the rest of the album doesn't really fit the description.

nah I remember that too, and remember thinking how awful it was that they wouldn't be using the piano, because for me, that IS Coldplay. The piano band. Then Violet Hill was released and there was piano and so I guess I forgot.
