Question about the free show tix.

 

Were people who were not the original contest winners of the free tix able to get in to the show? They note that they will be "checking tickets" in the winners' letters and I want to know what that exactly means. I ask bc I can get tickets from a friend who won them, but dont want get denied at the door for the NYC-MSG show bc I was not the original winner and he wont be there if I go. Any info on how they handled this situation at the Brixton show would be greatly appreciated!

My ID wasn't even looked at once. I can't say that I noticed anyone getting asked for their ID (bar some guy who pushed into the queue and was promtly told to piss off by a rather mean looking security guy).

Mine was checked but I was fairly near the front of the queue, perhaps the security people couldn't be bothered in the end.

and I heard of someone who arrived with no tickets and managed to get into the show AND i saw them get right to the front too. Don't ask me how? I have no idea!! Tho, I think its called blagging ther way in??

i hate when people do that. i was waiting in line for a Lifehouse show this year in the city, my friends and i stood outside in the line for about 3 hours to make sure we got front row. and as soon as they let people walk into the theater, 2 girls ran over from across the street, yelling at the security guards saying people started running towards the door and pushed them out of the line. they ended up next to us for the show and they didn't spend a second on the line... i made sure to bump into them extra hard during the show :D
