Apple and Coldplay...like two peas in a pod

Well after watching the iTunes commercial for VLV I couldn't help but come to the conclusion that I think Coldplay is the quintessential band for Apple...something about them screams Apple. Not to mention everytime I go into the Apple Store they are playing GPASUYF or Talk or any song for that matter...the point is I always seem to hear a Coldplay song playing in there.

Then I thought...well I am an avid Mac user. I have the 13" Blackbook and I love it. Then, today at work my manager brought in his white macbook to burn my Viva cd (his wouldn't burn onto iTunes for some reason).

Then I thought all the people I know who love Coldplay as much as I do have Mac's. Does anyone else see this? It just seems like hardcore Coldplay fans are usually hardcore Mac/Apple fans too...they seem to go hand in hand.

Just a theory.

Haha, well I think you might be onto something there actually. It's true - every time I visit an Apple store there's like a 90% chance that they'll put on a Coldplay song. Last time it was The Scientist. And I agree that there's something about the band and Apple that seem to sort of just... fit. Maybe it's the contemporary feel of both the company and the band... or maybe its the fact that Coldplay are slightly more quirky than their peers, just like Apple seem to be a bit different to other computer companies out there. I don't know. But I see what you're getting at :D

Is this Apple who focus heavily on Itunes........ and Coldplay who look like they will have a phenomenal 4 way chart topping domination this weekend of both the album and singles charts in the UK and US (plus pretty much every other country in the world!)

I would suggest that being the biggest band in the world (i don't think people can deny that anymore) means that every company wants a piece of them!!!

My friend was in Tokyo a couple years ago, and as a big Apple-fan I'm I asked her to go to the big Apple Store in central Tokyo, when she arrived she looked at the very fist iPod at hand in the store and guess what - that iPod was playing the song Yellow.

I think there is something sneaky about all this.

it's a conspiracy! lol. yeah i'm a massive apple fan too - only use macs at my house, and you're definitely right about the apple store thing. maybe there is a sponsorship deal or something, like how U2 got their own personalised iPods.
