Anybody else like it? And Im talking about the book, not the crappy movie where the scariest thing was hoping Dakota Fanning wouldn't deafen you in the next scene.

yes the book , and like the vacuum cleaner looking aliens in the 50's film...

wow, I cant believe someone actually responded here. I too think the ones from the 50s film are pretty cool:)

The 50s one at least had good actors...and a credible ending lol

You must read the book. And yes, it is way better than Independence Day. Eventually someone will make a movie version that will do the story justice, and it will be a million times better than Independence Day (although ID is a great movie too)!
